Traumatic dentoalveolar injuries are not an everyday occurrence among the dental population. The majority of these injuries occur in children and teenagers but can affect people of all ages. Most occur as a result of sports injuries, falls or automobile accidents. The type and severity of the dental trauma will determine the nature of the treatment that is necessary.
Dr. Trattner will discuss the different type of injuries that can occur as a result of dentoalveolar trauma as well as appropriate treatment guidelines. Timely treatment is imperative to a patient comfort and a successful outcome.
A diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates, Dr. Bradley Trattner received both his DDS and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He has maintained a full-time private practice in Baltimore, Maryland for close to 30 years,
He holds staff positions at Sinai Hospital and teaches endodontics in the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry and is head of the Endodontic Division of the Department of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He has been voted “Baltimore’s Best” Endodontist by Baltimore Magazine since 2002. He is a past president of both the Maryland Association of Endodontists and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, as well as a member of the Pierre Fauchard International Honor Academy and is a Fellow of both the American College and International College of Dentists. He is a past president of the University Of Maryland School of Dentistry Alumni Association Board of Directors and is presently the chairman of the Annual Campaign and serves as a member of the Board of Visitors at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He has lectured extensively nationally and is a clinical advisor and certified lecturer for Real World Endo.
